The Concho Farmers Market

A Farmer's Market is a place to buy the freshest most nutritious vegetables and products available which are grown and made locally. Every purchase at a Farmer's Market directly supports the grower, crafter, or producer instead of marketing and middle-men. Special varieties of naturally grown vegetables, farm fresh eggs, and other local offerings from jewelry to pottery and wood crafts to yarn can be found at our farmer's market.

Our market is a great place to have a nice leisurely chat, bump into your neighbors, learn something new, listen to a song, have a bite to eat, and enjoy a beautiful Saturday morning. Our crops change through the season and new vendors join us every week. This is a community event!

The Concho Farmer's Market is a Vendor run organization that gratefully operates under the non-profit auspices of Concho CAN!

Special Events at the Market

May 10th - Opening Day

The 2008 Farmer's Market season opens on Mother's Day weekend! Join us Saturday May 10th for a breath of fresh air and your pick of spring seedlings and veggies grown by local farmers. Handmade soaps & jams, unique jewelry & pottery, as well as fresh fudge will be among the unique gifts offered at the Concho Farmer's Market. Come meet the vendors and your neighbors at the market and help us get the 2008 season started with a bang!

June 7th - Barnyard Critters Day

Last year Barnyard Critters Day was a whole lot of fun. Folks at the market got the chance to see our farm animals up close. There were goats, rabbits and chickens...as well as cats and even a few alpaca! This year you can expect to have just as much as fun as you shop for farm raised eggs, fresh vegetables and local crafts.

Please leave your dogs at home this day in consideration for the other animals who will be at the market. Also note that only vendors and guests who have made prior arrangements are eligible to bring animals to this event.

July 5th - Summer Clean Up Day

We'll be gathering after the Farmer's Market to clean up the space. As a vendor run and managed organization we provide our own grounds maintenance and trash removal. It may not be glamorous, but we feel that it is important to have a tidy space. As a contribution to the local community and as a courtesy to our shoppers we aim to keep the Farmer's Market clean and neat throughout the season.

July 12th - Arts & Crafts at the Market

One-of-a-kind handmade crafts and unique works of art created by local Concho artisans will be the highlight of our July 12th Farmer's Market. Unusual fiber & wood crafts, distinctive jewelry and hand-thrown pottery are among the items that will be displayed for sale. This will be a great opportunity to meet and mingle with the local art community that you definitely will not want to miss!

Visit our Events Calendar for a full listing of our seasonal celebrations.

Due to heavy rains last year the site of our Farmer's Market needs maintenance. We are currently seeking funds, equipment and labor to properly level the lot. This repair work will make it possible for our Farmer's Market to continue to operate through the rainy season. If you are able to help, please contact us.
